
Short Story: The Wreck

Exposition: The Wreck is about two guys sitting down and having a conversation. Then one of them receives a letter. He is excused for a moment to read it. Then he comes to tell his friend the whole meaning of receiving this letter.
Rising Action: The rising action is the beggin of the story how he is a reporter and goes to this island somewhere to do a report on a ship wreck. He plans on walking to it the next day but he has to wait for the tide to go out or else there is no other of getting to it on his own. Also he has limited time before the tide comes back in. So he waits and walks to the ship. He gets on walks around and takes down notes of its appearance. Then he hears voices and at first thinks it's ghosts but comes out from under the deck and sees people. 3 girls and their father. They come to see the ship too. He shows the new arrivals around and they pull out their skecht pads and start drawin. He is very stunned by the beauty of the eldest daughter.
Climax: Then as time was flying by before they knew it the tide was pulling in. It was coming up fast and they didnt have enough time to reach back to the city as dusk was approaching as fast as the tide.
Falling Action: So they are now all on the deck surrounded by water.The temperature is starting to drop and the tide is still rising. So they sit and try and comfort eachother. He is somewhat comforted by the eldest daughter and wants to hold her in his arms. Then suddenly half the boat is gulfed in water and they all go rolling due to the sudden jolt. The eldest daughter falls into his arms and they stay put for a while. He s wanting to kiss her. Then dad asks where she is at and if she is ok. They all adjust to how they were.
Resolution: They hear a boat off in the distance and are rescued and the daughter and reporter still stay in touch through letter.
