Basketball
Basketball is what I love
Basketball is what I do
Want to play me one on one
that is something I’ll do
Basketball is a team sport
Not a one man show
Fail with only one but
Play together and get better
Just have fun
Like I said…
Basketball is what I love
Basketball is what I do
Want to play me one on one
That is something I’ll do.

Sisters

Sisters, sisters what can you do
Love them, hate them
It’s a win- loss situation
Call each other’s name
See who can take more pain
Dress up pretty little dollies
our hearts laughing with jolly

Sisters, sisters what can you do
Love them, hate them
It’s a win-loss situation

Three Little Pigs

There were three little pigs, the lazy pig, anxious pig, and the smart pig. They just moved out of their parent’s house and were in the market for homes. Their realtor was a big bad wolf.
He first took the lazy pig. “Alright I have three houses to show you. Our first one is this straw house. It is a beautiful color and lovely smell. Plus you always have a snack. Shall we move on?” said the sneaky wolf.
The lazy pig replied, “No, ill take it. I’m too tired to move on. Anyways it seems like my kind of house.”
“O, ok. Enjoy your new home.” The wolf congratulated him.
Next he took the anxious pig. “I have three houses too show you. First we have this lovely straw house. Nice color and…” he rang on.
“Let’s go to the next one. I’m allergic to straw.” said the second pig.
“Ok, moving right along to the stick house. It has great form with these brown sticks stacked upon another. It blends in with nature and you will always have kindle for your fires. Also…” the wolf was rudely interrupted again.
“I’ll take it!” said the anxious pig thinking nothing could be better than this house and was ready to buy it.
“Nice selection. Hope you feel comfortable in your new house.” The wolf said going after the third pig.
Last pig, but he was the smart one. “Hi there, ready to go view a few homes?” the wolf asked.
“Yes but I’m looking for a house that will stand almost anything.” The pig said.
“Well I will try my best to do that. First we have a beautiful straw…” the wolf proceeding on.
“No. That will barely stand a breeze.” The smart pig complained.
“Ok, next we have a cute stick…” the wolf frowned as he was interrupted once again.
“That thing won’t even stand the weight of a bird.” He replied irritated.
“Well let’s hope the last one will suite your needs. Here we have a very stable brick house. Tall, in a beautiful red color, and stands almost anything.” He informed the smart pig.
“It’s perfect I’ll take it.” the smart one chanted happy with his decision.
“Well finally something suites you,” the wolf mumbled under his breathe.
“What?” the pig asked.
“I mean have a lovely time with your new home.” He said as he went off to the woods.
Later that night the big bad wolf came and tried to blow down the houses. The straw one fell with barely one breathe, and he ate the lazy pig. The stick house a couple of puffs, but came down and ate the anxious pig. The brick house became impossible for him, but he was full anyways. The next morning the smart pig found out what happened to his brothers. He was so glad he waited to see all the houses.

Part two: Little me making a difference

Little me making a difference

How can I change the world? That is one tough question. I want to make a difference but just not sure how. It seems so hard, yet I see all the people making a difference all the time, some in my life. I’ve noticed how I have too though.
On away trips that are overnight our softball team collects the little shampoo bottles and soaps that people never use in the hotel room, so we can give them to the people who may not be able to afford things like that. Just to help out a little. This is just a small change but can make a tremendous impact on somebody else. We even got that idea from another team, so they too are making a change.
Another thing I do is try to keep people going, determining them not to quit in school and sports. In basketball season I tried and help out my teammates on whatever I could and helping them in school so they could play. If they got discouraged I’d still be there with them pushing them. Who knows maybe it does a little.
Our community is always doing food donations too and I participate in almost every one. I can’t think of one that I haven’t helped out in. Simply giving a box of Macaroni and Cheese can keep someone from starving. How amazing is it to give such a little thing, but impact so much.
Our little LDS church in Wendover makes a big impact on this world with just even simple things. We are always going to some random person’s house and fixing up their yard, giving treats, cards, or just spending time with them letting them know we think about them. The whole church owns farms just to give to the needy and we pay tithing to help people out with money.
That is just a few things that I do to try and make a difference. I’ll think of something really good to do some day to change this crazy, ever-changing world we live in for the better.
